3BLOC Presents Summer Cruelty 3

In the last couple of months, one of Virginia's battle rap leagues, the League of Champions and a North Carolina battle rap league Body Bag Battle League merged together to create the 3BLOC battle rap league. Now the newly formed league is hosting their first event under the new merger, Summer Cruelty 3. This is a very stacked card filled with some of the DMV's top battle rappers who have been on the SMACK URL platform recently in Richmond this year and in the past. There are also other familiar faces that have battled on LOC and 3BL before the merger as well as the Southpaw Battle Coalition platform.

I'll start off with the only battle that isn't on the flyer and that is Tre Awthenicc versus Sonny Kolfax. This battle is LONG OVERDUE in the DMV as this rivalry will have some bad blood stemming back to as early as 2015 when it pertained to Tre's beef w/ Redd Handed [look up ReddHanded and Sonny Kolfax on Tre Awthenicc "He's convinced he doesn't lose!" on YouTube]. Kolfax is coming off a very impressive battle versus Joey Figueroa at the most recent THE LAB & 30 Pages of Rhymes event back in April. The last time Tre Awthenicc battled was back in the Showtime battle rap league event versus Tyranny. The comments said that Tyranny won the one rounder so that can be added fuel for Tre to bring some heat to this rivalry fight.

Another battle that has a great buildup to it is Drugz versus Fastlane. After Southpaw's Ides of March event, Drugz and Fastlane were outside talking smack immediately drawing attention from the people in the parking lot and inside the venue. The D.C. battle rapper has been one of the most consistent faces in battle rap this year with TEN battles already dropped and he has three more fights prior to this battle versus Fastlane Fame. Drugz appears to be the favorite as he hasn't slowed down in the past year and Fastlane Fame hadn't had a battle dropped in almost two years. This might surprise people if Fame delivers greatly and outperform Drugz. This is a battle that I'll be watching for just because of the surprise factor.

Another battle that I am anticipating is Redd Handed versus Madface. It's a La Familia versus Bilderberg Lifestyle battle. Redd Handed is looking for redemption after a choke in the final round versus Southpaw's Radio B. The battle he had with Radio at Ides of March lived up to the over a year-long hype it had and it is still debated to this day. Madface is recently coming off of battling at SMACK's Survivor Series DMV Encore event earlier in the month. After speaking with Madface the day after the event, he said that he didn't like his performance personally, but still felt like he cooked his opponent. This battle between Madface and Redd Handed is one where there are two competitors are looking to redeem themselves from their previous outings.

The other battles will be filled with gritty rhymes and real talk. Preme is looking to start up another hot streak versus Virginia battle rap veteran Big Jinya. Reeveytown is looking forward to battle for the first time since last fall versus Blacc Ab who battled at L.O.C.'s M.E.A.N. 3 back in January. Tra 8 is also returning, recently battling at M.E.A.N. 3 also versus Spade. The Jakkboy Maine and Big Bra Streets battle is cancelled. Tickets are available on The Camel's website for $15 dollars HERE and the tickets are $20 at the door. The event is on July 14th at 2 pm.
